OD failure

DarkSide

Hi,

I am getting the following error messages on the base when doing a filelist deployment.

LIB: 2009-09-22 13:47:31 DEPLOYING - [/iwmnt/default/main/Internet-Internet/Common-Commun/WORKAREA/Common-Commun] to [/data/wcmslb/prev/default/main/Internet-Internet/Common-Commun/WORKAREA/Common-Commun]

LIB: 2009-09-22 13:47:31 ERROR: Could not write file (templatedata/comm-comm/gene-gene/data/01/nbrms_agriinvest_deadlines_1200430202070_en) to socket.

The error message seems to tell that the the base server cannot connect to the receiver but it does connect to it and also i can telnet to the receiver from the base server. When i deploy the file, it creates a filename.iwtmp on the receiver, then it fails and the deployment hangs forever.

I am on Solaris 9, TS 6.7.1 SP1, OD 6.2.

Any idea what could cause this? Also there is no error messages anywhere else.

Thanks,
Pat

Could you please check your OD port setting. May be OD server trying to create socket on some port and the target receiver is listening on another port or the firewall of target receiver is not open on the port where OD base is trying to connect.

You need to get the logs from the receiver and post those. The most interesting errors will be in the receiver logs.

Can you please verify that the path:

/data/wcmslb/prev/default/main/...

is an actual TeamSite Server mount point for a TeamSite backing store on the receiving end of the deployment.

That's a rather non-standard path, and if it is not a TeamSite file system, that might explain why it is getting an error on trying to transfer TS EA's to it.
