Event Subsystem Database
Neats
Hi All,
I have installed Event Subsystem with default(derby) database during installation of teamsite.
In the upgrade to 6.7.2 section of document it is mentioned default goes for file system and in actual section it is given as defualt means derby database. Which one is true?
How difficult it is to shift it to Sql server 2005 and what is the process?
Thanks in advance

yes default is file system.
it is fairly simple to move to a database. simply create a database for TS events subsystem, install DB driver on teamsite server then modify iw-home/eventsubsystem/config/jmsconfignew.xml with proper values for msql 2005:
driver=""
url=""
user=""
password=""
/>
Thanks Crsb,
This info helps.
How will the database be configured by TeamSite as per the Event Subsystem needs? Is there any service that I need to run after making these changes?
Can you please let me know the way that I can test this as well?
Thanks

Go into /iwhome/eventsubsystem/conf/ddl and grab the scripts for your db vendor and run them.
Then create your read/write account for your vendor.
Put your vendor drivers in /iwhome/eventsubsystem/lib.
As per the previous post, make sure you put in the correct path to your drivers in the iwhome/eventsubsystem/conf/eventsubsystem.properties file (hint: the line should point to your eventsubsystem/lib file.
Update your /iwhome/eventsubsystem/conf/jmsconfignew.xml with your database connection credentials.
stop and restart eventsubsystem (see guide for syntax/location of script)
And voila, the magic of Interwoven Event Subsystem will be bestowed upon you. Women will flock to your door seeking to bask in your knowledge. In fact, you will have so many dates as a result of this knowledge, that you will no longer care about the eventsubsystem. :-)
