TeamSite ability to interact with RDIMS system(s)?

We exploring capabilities of TeamSite server to connect and interact with RDIMS system(s).

Our end users, TeamSite authors, have the need to include (sometimes to change) various corporate documents that are stored within corporate RDIMS system (Hummingbird 5.1).

For example, they would like to include (attach to Web pages) documents stored in a central RDIMS server.

Is this achievable?

Do you know of any successful integration of TeamSite servers with another RDIMS platform?

Any help will be highly appreciated or pointers to other successful implementation of this functionality.

I haven't done this but seems you will have to use the APIs your RDIMS provides or may be some webservices to achieve this.
Usually the tagging of contents can be done in Teamsite via Metatagger or you can even store the tagging info in Database.

if you want to grab this files from RDIMS and then deploy them then you might need to first import them within Teamsite.
