Extra code removal

we are getting some extra code in the visual editor upon the generation of .asp pages, this problem is happening since the installation of Microsoft Security Patch KB956844 on client computers. no solution given from Interwoven and Ektron, as we are using Teamsite 6.5 and ewebeditpro4.

This is the extra code: <meta content="MSHTML 6.00.6000.16890" name="GENERATOR" />

I was thinking a perl script to go the node and remove that code? any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestion but i tried installing all types of versions of new editor but none is compatible with Teamsite 6.5.

i need to develop some type of script to remove the extra code when generating the page.

I believe the "official" solutions are:

If you just want to make sure that code is stripped out from generated pages - then putting some code into your PTs should do the trick (I'd recommend making it a subroutine that is well documented with regard to its purpose)If you want to strip out that code within the DCR itself you'll have to use FormAPI and probably handle both onItemChange and onSaveValid events to do so. Again, if you go this route, make a distinct function for it and document it well - so that when the problem goes away the code can be easily removed.
