Transition value problem

Hi,

I am using wft files for workflows and working on Interwoven TeamSite 6.7.1

Service Pack 1.

I have a group taks which contains 2 transitions followed by an external task

which calls an ipl file.

Transiton :-

1) Deploy to STG
2) Deploy to PROD


And these 2 transitions are calling same ipl file which needs to deploy

content based on the transition.

1) if Transiton 1 is selected then stg.xml (OD Conf) needs to be executed
2) if Transiton 2 is selected then prod.xml (OD Conf) needs to be executed

Now my problem is how can I get Transition value whether user selected transiton 1 or 2 in the ipl file .

What is the "command" for each of your external tasks? Are you doing something like this:
iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl iw-home/some/path/to/your.ipl ??

You can pass additional parameters like this:
For Stage transition: iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl iw-home/some/path/to/your.ipl Stage
For Prod transition: iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl iw-home/some/path/to/your.ipl Prod

Retrieve that parameter in your IPL file and do your logic based on that.

This is just one of many ways to do this.
