Display audittrail in Smartview

Hi, Has anyone found a way to display the Audittrail of an object within Smartview (23.2)? Some kind of a "View Audit" on the document's context menu that whould launch a dql widget passing the id as parameter could work, but couln't fing a way to get the direct link to a widget and passing parameter.

You should be able to use a DQL queyr form (restricted to only those with at least read audit minimum) and be able to search on it using form criterial. You will have to have the dm_audittrail attributes in your display configuration.

You could also use a MetadataViewPanel (see Smart View SDK) to display this information by the selected documentum.

Audit viewing per document is avialable in recent versions of Smart View. I believe the release version was 24.2 or 24.4 for it.

Hi Michael,

DQL query form make sense, but do you link the query form to the menu (action tool bar)? That is the 100$ question :-)

Upgrading is best of course to get the new feature for the audit :) (My opinion).

I "think" you can do a menu item for a show dialog for QueryForm with arguments to do what you are looking to do. No time to test/explore it at the moment but that would be where I would look first.

To figure it out, I would create the query form, have it functional, then in browser dev mode, observe the calls made when you open the query form to ensure correct name and arguments for the dialog. Then work to put "defaultvalues" in my query form, pass those (likley objectId in your case) to ensure it works, finally do the menu item and test. The select objectId should be the default argument passed to your query form.

@Antony Nalkara - do you have any thoughts on this, you are a bit into the lower level than I am these days :)

I definitly agree with the upgrade stategy. Unfortunatly upgrade will take some time and we are looking for something faster :-)
