Multiple E-mail connector in same organization

Hi,
I need to send emails from two accounts with different host names in the same organization.
Do I need to set up two email connectors in the same organization and be able to send emails by choosing the connector?
Is it possible to change the SMTP server from BPM?

I have a few clarifying questions regarding your requirement:

By different host names, do you mean different mail servers / SMTP servers?
Do you need to use both of these email accounts for sending emails from BPM?

Yes, there are two smtps servers: smtps.pec.aruba.it and smtps.aruba.it.

Unfortunately, in Italy we have a type of email called PEC (certified email) that can only receive emails from certified email addresses, so I need to send regular emails from my regular email address and certified emails from my certified email address.

If customers have a regular email address, I use the regular email address; if they have a certified email address, I use certified email.

is that possible?

Just a couple of additional questions:

Do you need both the regular email and PEC email sending triggered from BPM, with BPM deciding which SMTP server to use based on the recipient's email address?
I would also like to know which platform version you are using to try this.

This will help us confirm the possible solution.

@garmanno , In your scenario, you can try the following approach:

Create two service groups, for example, email_pec and email_aruba
Under each service group, create a service container with the respective mail server configuration

Then, enhance the BPM by adding two Send Mail activities — one for PEC and another for Aruba.

In each Send Mail activity, there is an option to set the receiver (that is, the service group DN) to specify which service group should handle the request.

Using this option, you should be able to route the email through the appropriate SMTP server and resolve your requirement.

Please note that this approach works when invoking the service directly from the Service Test Tool by selecting the required service group for the Send Mail service. In this case, the UI correctly respects the selected service group.

However, I came to know from other team members that from version 25.1 onwards, there is a known issue where the service group DN configured in BPM activities is not being respected. Due to this issue, the same behaviour is currently not working from BPM.

So, unless this issue is fixed, we may not have a working option from BPM for this approach.

You can request an HF on top of 25.4, saying that reciever in the BPM activity is not respecting. Once HF is available, you can follow the steps mentioned above.
