CGI task not transitioning to next task need to click Start Input task

Hi

I have a CGI task to attach dependent files and once that task is complete it should transition to the next task which is to deploy code.

Currently when workflow is invoked, I see the CGI task for Attach Dependent Content running in a window but this window closes without transitioning to the next task (deploying code). I have to go to the Workflow tab in TeamSite and manually click on "Start Input Task" button. Not sure why this is happening.

What type of task is the next task? Usually, the deployment work is done in a external task. Please mention your TS version and workflow type.

It is a responsibility of the Task Code developer to take care of proper Task transitioning.
Take a look at [post=134385]this[/post] post, it contains a little summary of CGI transitioning mechanisms. Other that
that we can not help much without looking at your CGI code

Also - if you're going to have back-to-back CGI Tasks (owned by the same user) - consider re-writing the code so that you can perform both operations within a single CGI Task and avoid the need to worry about the exact manner in which you perform the transition from the first to the second.
