Unable to edit files locked by themself

Hi

We have a small problem with locks when editing files in TeamSite. The users presses edit --> changes something --> presses finish and regenerate the file. The file is then locked by the user that edited the file. This is the way it should work but here comes the problem. If the same user edits the same file a popup is shown with a error message saying: "file already locked by ****". Is there a way to get rid of this popup?
This error occures in Internet Explore 7.0, but not in firefox 3.5.2.
Is this a browser or a TeamSite issue?

looks like browser issue. Have you tried with older versions of IE?

Its the same in IE 6.0

tried out in my system, without any issue.

Perhaps the corresponding dcr is locked by someone else?

When the file get locked the corresponding DCR is locked by the same user as well. I've tried unlocking both of them but the issue still occures.

Does the generated file contain a single or multiple DCRs(parent DCR containing a number of child/embedded DCRs)
The error could be due to one of the DCRs required in regeneration being locked by another user.

There is a concept called stale locks in TeamSite, search support for it, there is command which unlocks it and once you are done running the CLT on the file, you will not see the issue.

The file contains only one DCR. If i check the properties for the DCR it tells me that the file is "locked by FormsPublisher". Could that be the problem or is that normal behavior?

What is the role of the user and the permissions on the workarea?

This is exactly the same issue. If the users log in with uppercase letters it works like a charm. Thank you

Is there a workaround for this issue other than the users logging in with uppercase letters? Could you change the tsusers.xml file?
