URL Task Parameter - URI?

I wonder if anyone has a working example for a URL Task, specifically the URI attribute? There are no Task Attribute examples in the WFM Manual (Page 95).

I'd like (hope?) to pass a web-service call via this WF Task. Maybe I'm barking-up the wrong tree but I thought I would use this WFM URL Task to do this. Something like:

http://bessrv.domain.com:9081/CrewComm/crewcommweb/pushService/submitRequest.do?reqDefId=2&client=Teamsite

I assumed I could plug the "absolute URI" into the URI Attribute? My assumption is incorrect. I wanted to use the WFM task but should I be using an external task and create some perl to perform the call?

Have you tried this: http://$IW_SERVER/iw-cc/urlexternaltask? You'll also have to set your correct class name that'll make the web service calls or whatever else you want it to do.

If you'd like to create a custom URL then go for it.
