we are having 5 sections for our company website, so when we link a webpage from section 2(sales section) to section 3(company section), we want only the webpage to be displayed, but it looks like the webpage along with navigation from section 2(sales section) is showing in section 3 left navigation. how do we change this.

Experts please advice.

The question is all over the place, can you provide some code snippets to better assist you.
Can you rephrase with what you have done and what you are expecting? It would be easy to see some screenshots too.

i can't share a screen shot, but i can explain it so that everyone can understand the problems.

our website has 5 sections, company, products, sales, services, solutions.

Each sections has 4 levels to drill down. we want to include sales section level 4, last level webpage to someother section. We were able to include the webpage, but it is also pulling the left navigation of the included webpage section.

We do not want the whole left navigation section of the included page, we want only the webpage along with the current left navigation .

As said before this can be done in several different ways using Javascript, asp etc to customize you left nav accordingly. What were you implementing when you said that when you clicked on section 4 you are seeing section 3 in too, can post the script which is behaving odd for you. So that some one can help you with where you were getting it wrong.

well, even though you have failed to properly describe the details of your nav implementation, i will try to answer you in more generic terms than I would have otherwise.

It seems to me that you are trying to repurpose the content, i.e. use the same content in 2 places within the IA. right? If so, you have to know how your navigation works to make this happen. In general the navigation should not work for this scenario, UNLESS you specifically cater for 'shared' content - because the content should have only one 'address' in the nav (and IA).

I usually do argue with the clients in order not to have such a situation. And only in some special circumstances I would agree - e.g., a site has information for different audiences and even though they have different navs, they would want to share some common content, like 'how to find us', etc.

To cut it short, I would make a provision to create some orphaned content (without navs) and then include it by browsing to it from appropriate content pages. This is one of the possibilities, of course.
