OD failing to deploy

Hi,

Currently our TS environment 6.5 SP2 in Windows o/s 2003. OD is 6.1.0 .

The ODBase is set up on the TS server and the OD receiver is set up on the HP-UNIX server.

The issue is when we try to publish files from TS to Web server (BEA Weblogic), it is sometimes not being pushed to the Webserver.

The logic is such that when the file is published, it calls the WF which deploys in TS staging and then using Opendeploy is pushed to the Weblogic staging. So, here it fails. The odnodes.xml for base and receiver are in sync. The odbase.log file does not show any errors.

We are attaching the ODreceiver.log file that contains the error. Please provide your help in this regard.

Thanks for the reply. We are cheking the config files in detail. But, these same config files are successfully deploying most of the files. Only few files are not getting deployed making the system unreliable.

Can there be any network issue responsible for this?

Hi,

No contents are being deployed through OD. We are getting the same error message as attached in the start of this thread. After re-starting OD receiver it is again start working. But after two days it is again down which requires a re-start.
We are also having issues in nour network firewall.

We have checked KB article 50010 and then checked OD config files, but find nothing unusual there.

Can anybody please urgently suggest what the problem might be as we are facing this issue in production.

We are also having issues in our network firewall.

If you are having trouble with the firewall, then it is highly unlikely OD will work. You need to make certain the firewall is working correctly and the correct port is open between the sender and receiver.

Thanks for the reply. When the deployment fails we checked with the network team that at that moment firewall is ok. Then we have a re-start of OD receiver which solves the problem.

Also we observed that there is 38000 files in /OpenDeployNG/log folder.

We have observed a pattern that when OD receiver is down the firewall is also going down after a certail period of time.

So, can there be any relation between OD receiver preceeding the firewall down?
