Term Not Being Suggested
jkramersmyth
I have a recognizer vocabulary that refuses to suggest a particular term. This term has no alternates, no clues and is not marked as weak - but it is not suggested when the exact term is included in the text sent to metatagger. This term has no special characters in it - it is in fact just the word 'Stars'.
Other terms seem to work just fine (with various combinations of clues, alternates or neither). Has anyone else ever seen this?
This term is in the middle of the hierarchy (with both a parent and multiple children) - but I have plenty of other terms in a similar position that get suggested with no problems.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,
I have created a recognizer project with terms like Start, Starts etc. Stars term have the nodes like pluto, mars etc. Built the indexes, committed the indexes and tested through MTStudio with sample text and it works fine and it suggests the term Stars.
This project deployed using CIAdmin and tested with CIWeb with a sample word document which has these terms and MetaTagger is able to suggest the term "Stars" without any issues.
May be you can verify again, if it is not working then raise support ticket and provide all files in the DB_HOME directory and the sample taxonomy which you are working and the sample test file.

It could be a problem with MT Studio which is buggy. Try exporting your vocab to a xml file and see if there is a SVTerm for Stars and see if it actually appears exactly as "Stars".
