Could anyone explain me on how to

copy folders and files along with all versions to another branch?

example:

branchA/afolder/files to brnachB/afolder/files and I need to keep all the versions when I copy.

If anyone has any script example...please share

In general, you don't do this.
If you perform an iwupdate from branchA to branchB - the files that get created in branchB should have a reference to the historical version from which they were copied, and thus preserve the chain of history.

One possibility that I can think of (without getting bogged down in details of trying to do it manually) would be:

However, unless you have a legitimate reason for creating a lot of duplicate data in your backing store, I'd just stick with the iwupdate process.

Do you need to keep anything that's already in branchA?
If not - given that you plan to delete branchB - why don't you simply rename branchB to branchA and be done with it?

If you need to keep [some of] the existing content of branchA you're looking at a whole lot of work to try to recreate all the history of all the assets in branchB into branchA - this may not be a complete list, but you're looking at stuff like:

Like I said, this may not be everything, but I think it should give you the some idea of the kind of effort this would require.
