Get variable from page settings in SitePublisher

I am trying to call the title variable in the page settings in SitePublisher from the datacapture.cfg for tagUI. I would like to know if it's possible to use the IWDatacapture.getItem() to get the value of the title variable in the .page file and populate the metadata item. If so then what would you put in the IWDatacapture.getItem() to get that value.

IWDatacapture.getItem() -- that is based on DCF (Data Capture Framework). It uses FormAPI functionality and it is used to get relevant Item within your "tag UI form" and not necessarily the file (in your case SP page) that you are tagging.

With that said, you can write some sort of "call server" mechanism to retrieve the title from your SP page.
