Role based Validation on DCT Field

Hi,

I want to restrict author and editors for expiry_date field. Author and editors can see the field but they should not be able to change.

I want to give edit access only for Super editors, therefore i have applied some restriction in DCT.

but due to this restriction DCT expiry_date field is hidden for Author and Editors.
I am looking for functionality that Author and Editors can see field but cant edit that(ReadOnly for them).

Please suggest.

If you want it to be readonly and not hidden - why are you using a 'hidden' directive?

Also - you might find it works better if you make the field readonly (or read-write) using FormAPI rather than a hard-coded DCT directive.
