how to include external editor in TeamSite

TS6.7.2, Solaris 9

TinyMCE and VisualFormat are the external editors I can use with TS directly. If I want a different exterrnal editor than these two, how can I use it with TS ?

Do I need to download and install it on server ? How can I integrate this external editor with TS ?

You are probably looking at an unsupported customization.

Somebody asked me this question casually. I did not know the answer. Then he told me that with "inline" function, we can include external editor. That person is not available for contacting.
I still dont understand, how wd that be, thats why I am putting the question here.

You can use a callout with a textarea to create a button that a user would click to launch the specific editor you chose that's not one of the OOTB. It would be a popup window and would not be "inline" like the two OOTB editors are, but that's how you can potentially use other editors. Also note that you wouldn't get any support from interwoven, as vpatel said, for a non-OOTB editor.

Yes someone who knows what they are doing can use an inline to configure another editor. The TinyMCE config was done initially by someone from DevNet and IWOV made it part of the product later. If your boss wants you to spend months trying to do this, then have fun.
