Error in the documentation?
caffeinated
The LiveSite dev guide (ls_300sp1_dev_v2) says that a Datum can be of type XML, but when I try to use it, I get this friendly error message:
[html]
Component update failed.
Could not load component data XML into XMLDOM.
com.interwoven.livesite.common.xml.ValidationError mColumn[42] mLine[2]
mSystemID[null] mPublicID[null] mType[ERROR] mMessage[cvc-enumeration-valid:
Value 'XML' is not facet-valid with respect to enumeration '[Boolean, Color,
CheckboxGroup, ContentRule, Date, DCR, File, Font, Image, Number, PageLink,
RadioGroup, SelectMultiple, SelectSingle, String, Textarea]'. It must be a
value from the enumeration.]
com.interwoven.livesite.common.xml.ValidationError mColumn[42] mLine[2]
mSystemID[null] mPublicID[null] mType[ERROR] mMessage[cvc-attribute.3:
The value 'XML' of attribute 'Type' on element 'Datum' is not valid with
respect to its type, 'FieldType'.]
[/html]
If the code is actually running a check against this list of types, it's pretty clear xml is not actually a valid datum type, unless I'm doing something wrong.
This is just a test component, so there's not much there but here is what my Content XML section looks like:
[html]
<br><Params><br><Param Name="trackingNumber" Type="String">831647643016</Param><br></Params><br>
[/html]
The Datum tag was copied directly from the documentation. Is the XML datum deprecated and the documentation has yet to be updated?
Thanks

sorry type xml was removed as it is superseded by type DCR.
