Unable to connect to server error in TS UI

Hi,

Our environment is as follows:
TS 6.5 SP2
Windows 2003 server.

While trying to log in TeamSite we are getting "Unable to connect to server" error message. In the next moment if we re-try we are able to log in.

Also, TeamSite is very slow.

I have run iwstat -c command as described in KB article 53764 but no error message was there in the output.

We have checked that eventsubd.log file size is 6.5 GB.

What are the errors logged in other log files?

A 6.5GB log file sounds a bit high.

Have you got a log rotation policy in place for all your log files ?

No we do not have any log rotation policy.

There is also no other error messages in other logs.

That's strange. Log file size is high too..

Did you check the load on the system and what is the output when you do iwstat -c?

Hi,

We are not using any SSL. There is no folder like /iw-home/local/config/SSL.

I have few questions:

1. How many users are facing this problem.
2. Check for the network latency, this can be a factor.
3. As you mentioned its a Windows server, check for the CPU utilisation.
4. Try to ping your server from your local machine and note down the loss.

Simple question, but has this been happening alot and have you rebooted your system to see if that fixes the issue?

Yes we rebooted the system and after that we re-started eventsubsystem. After that it is working fine.
