I am looking for perl modules which provides a walk through of entitre branch contents and provide sub routines to access Workarea,Categories and Datatypes.

Is it posssible to create an ipl file that comprises of a complete procedure to create a branching structure through perl.(without making use of UI)?

Any subroutines like

GetWorkarea,
GetCategory,
getDatatype,
setWorkarea,
CreateCategory

You can achieve all that and plenty more by executing corresponding CLT commands from your Perl.
I am not aware of any IWOV provided PM Modules that you can use to build Store structures.

The basic tools for doing this are already there (e.g.: TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

irwalk or File::Find for traversing directory structures), and the rest involve either the use of CLTs (which can be called from within the Perl code) and/or modifying files (e.g.: for "CreateCategory" I would imagine that not only do you need to create the directory structure for that category, but you might also need to update the templating.cfg file and create the DCT, PT, and possibly FormAPI code -- most of that I don't see being fully automated).

It sounds like an interesting project to work on ... but I wouldn't expect to find too much existing code for use in it since it is likely very customer-specific requirements.
