import file with unqiue id

Hi,

my task is to
1) start the import process from DCT browse field.
2) add a unique id to filename while importing it from local machine in the workarea.
and 3) populate the file path into the browse field in DCT

can I do this any way ?

It's possible - it depends on your skill level with programming since that's what you're talking about here - writing a program that performs all these functions and embedding an interface to that program as a callout in your DCT.
