OD Fails on Deployment of Files Throwing Odd Error

Hello,

We have an OD script that inserts XML files into a BerkelyDBXML DB, and moves our static assets associated with the XML files into a static asset directory. What we're seeing on deploy is that the XML is inserted successfully, but if images and associated files are run through the workflow, we get an error like:

LIB: 2009-11-04 15:26:24 ERROR: Failed to deploy local_directory[.] of area[/default/main/../../working/STAGING/htdocs] for filelist[/tmp/8803-test-manifest.log]

I've not encountered this error previously.

Here's the deploy XML

Your variables are off, look at this path

/default/main/../../working/STAGING/htdocs

Whatever is building the Area variable you pass in is incorrect.

Is that source path (

/default/main/../../working/STAGING/htdocs

) being shown verbatim from the log file [as nipper assumed], or did you put in the "

../

"'s for the public posting here?
Is that filelist path (

/tmp/8803-test-manifest.log

) something that you generated and provided on the command line as a parameter to OD?

I've not encountered this error previously.

I'm not sure if it matters, but if you are using the

replicationLinkFarm / external

directive - you probably should not have the

useReplicationFarm

attribute in the

target

element.

If you run this deployment with a filelist that contains images - but comment out the DNR script - do you get the error message in the OD logs? If not, then I think you would have to spend time debugging the DNR script and (more likely) the DD deployment configuration.
