Permission issue

I have the following permissions set on a folder in TeamSite

Owner: (Alex) = Read & Write
Group: (dot-com-dev) = Read & Write
Others: = Read Only

When my co-worker (who is Not the Owner and does NOT belong to dot-com-dev group) goes to this folder, it appears grayed out i.e. she cannot select this folder and see sub folders and/or files.

I thought, Read Only permission would let her view files and sub folders but she won't be able to edit or add new files to this Folder.

Any ideas ?

* This is a folder within a workarea
* TS is running on Unix.
* Version is 6.7.2 Service Pack 2
* Yes my co-worker was assigned to the Editor Role that comes out of the box with TS. This Role has not been modified

If this is Unix - you may need to check the mode bits on the directory from the command line - to see whether it looks like:
drwxrwxr-x (775)
or
drwxrwxr-- (774)
If it's the latter, that would explain it - you need execute rights to list the contents of a directory.

You can change the submit.cfg to have it apply to all folders.

FYI, in the 7.0 GUI, if you view file/folder proerties and permissions you see read/write/execute instead of the read/write you see on 6.7.2

The question was: Does your co-worker have a role assigned to her within this branch?

That's kind of important.
