Email to group on TS 6.7.1 SP1 On windows server 2003

Hi I have made the following changes to send an email to a group.
In the command property variable.
C:\Interwoven\iw-home\local\config\wft\iwsend_mail.ipl
and also configured task variables as
variable key="mail_to" value="tsuer1,tsuser2"
variable key="mail_cc" value="tsuser3,tsuser4"
variable key="mail_url"value="1"
variable key="mail_html"value="1"
and in the iw.cfg
maildomain=mycompany.com
mailserver=smtp.mycompany.com
use_map_file=true
email_mapping="path to email_maap.cfg"

and in email_map.cfg
user name="Reviewers" email="testmail1@test.com, testmail2@test.com
I also have created an OS Group called as Reviewers.
So, My Questions are:
1.) should task be usertask or grouptask for sending an email to group of members as we have configured in email_map.cfg and task variables as above..
2.) If it is a group task how is the shared by element used as we r mentionaing the group members in task variables?
I am new to Teamsite and please guide me

I'd recommend reading the manuals and getting some actual training on the product.

If you're using iwsend_mail.ipl - read the code and documentation (I believe I put POD into it the last time I touched it) to understand what it does and how it does it.

The task that sends email is neither a usertask nor a grouptask, it is either an externaltask, urltask, or "emailtask" (WFM-only). The target task(s) of the email can be usertasks, grouptasks, or quite frankly anything other than endtasks or dummytasks. Only use the task level variables for the list of recipients if you need to override information that would otherwise be determined (or cannot be determined at all) from the target tasks.
