So you're essentially running a server-side perl script from a client-side javascript - yes? Is this some arbitrary javascript, or are you talking about FormAPI code from within a DCT?

If you read the CLT manual - you should have seen the usage information for iwjobc - unfortunately the documentation doesn't say that you have to have Master privileges in order to run iwjobc. iwmodelc is for WFM's, I've never used it and am not sure what restrictions or requirements it has in terms of being able to use it the way you are intending.

There's also iwwft_compile.ipl - which, unfortunately, is not documented in the CLT manual (BUG) - however, you can run perldoc on it to get more information about it.

Then, of course there are Java options using the CSSDK...

It is quite easy to add a new button to the UI, that is what I assume he is talking about.

I have added an Instant Submit button to the UI that was available for specific users. It would run a WF that required no comments or approvals. Select a file and click go, the changes were in production. Ghoti provided information on how this can be done from a WFT point of view
