Calling a perl file from external task

Hi,

I need to call an external task from workflow,which should execute a .ipl file.
In command property ,variable type : script, for source I am writing following command:
$IW_Home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl.exe
$IW_Home\local\config\wft\examples\mysample_external_task.ipl

The error that i am getting is that my Task ID is not valid . Can anyone help me on this??

Can you run your perl script from the command line with the appropriate parameters? If necessary, add a logging line to your script that dumps the command it is called with.

Upon reviewing this, it looks like you might be using the JobID rather than the Task ID to create the task object. Check to be sure you are using them correctly, also, be sure you are not calling back the task and then trying to instantiate the task object as it is possible your workflow is completing and therefore the task won't instantiate.

Although you've already been given some tips - if you need more help, you need to post the code of your perl script - because without that, it is very difficult for anyone to help you debug the problem.
