Unable to instantiate workflows

Hello,

I am working on TS 6.7.2 on Windows 2003 SP1 server.
There was a migration done form TS 6.7.1 SP1 Windows 2003 SP1 to the current version some time back.

After this migration the workflows cannot be instantiated. Once I select the file to be submitted and then choose the workflow and click on next "Page cannot be found" error comes.

We are using wft's and not the WFM.

In the error log I can see "workflow object does not exist referer: iwft_instantiator.cgi"

Could someone please help me on this.

Are you saying that ever since the upgrade "some time back" the workflows haven't worked? Or at some point recently, after the upgrade some time back, the workflows stopped working?

If the former, why has it taken so long to try to address this problem? You should have been on the phone with Support immediately.

If the latter, consider all the things that might have changed on the server "at some point recently" - including OS patches and such. You still may need to contact Support but you should do a bit more detective work on your own end first, like parsing through the trace and event logs to see when the last workflow successfully ran, etc.

If it's something else, other than those two interpretations of what you posted - please try doing a better job of describing the problem.

Do you see the file iwwft_instantiator.cgi in iw-home/httpd/iw-bin directory?

Perhaps someone deleted the file or changed permissions on the file?

Thanks everyone for the inputs.
@mart2001: I have checked and the file is in da correct directory and has correct permissions.

@ghoti: The workfolws havent worked even a single time after the migration happened. I have just moved in this project so have no idea why this was not taken up with Iwov Support. Anyways will continue with my findings.

Please let me know if there are some other things that I can try.

Can you instantiate a work flow from the command prompt? You can do this just to narrow down the problem area you need to investigate.

You'll hav to use Perl modules like TeamSite::WFsystem, TeamSite::WFworkflow etc.

For eg.;

use TeamSite::WFsystem;
$system = new TeamSite::WFsystem();

This creats a new WFsystem object for you.

Some examples are given in the pdf.

Or you can go to these modules directly to see some useful comments there.

WTF??? Are you kidding me? This is not the way to instantiate a workflow from the command line.
