customizing the job specification window

hi all i have a new requirement where user need to browse editions in the job intiation form...

i had good start but stucked at this point that is how to browse to a edition area and select a particular edition.

please help me out my providing the solution ......

Are you doing this in WFT / Perl or WFM / Java / Javascript ?

You should be able to get the current value of the area (__VALUE__('iw_workarea') or $IW_WORKAREA) and modify that path into the proper path for the editions, then do a non-recursive read of the directory to populate your selection code.

My bad - I missed reading the subject line - so you are customizing the job instantiation (not specification) form - great.
You still didn't indicate if this is for a WFT or WFM.

If it's a WFT - the code to get the information you want to present in the form will be embedded within the WFT and the method of populating the selected value(s) into the instantiation form will have to follow the old-style loop-and-match process.

If it's a WFM - you'll be doing a callServer to a script that gets the information you desire and uses the FormAPI layer interface (as documented in the FormAPI manual) to put the selected value(s) into the form.
