Content Deployment Strategy

Hi all,

Presently, i am working on creating Content Deployment Strategy for one of the large scale project and the best practices to use.

Statement 1: We have a monthly TeamSite to TeamSite deployment for all the enhancement/bug fixes been done which includes almost every type of artefact ranging from DCT/DCR/TPL, Digital Assets, Binary Assets, Pages/Components/Templates.

Statement 2: In addition to the artefacts, we need to have the correct access permissions as per the branch management been done on one instance to another.

Please provide solutions / suggestion / pointers.

Yes Viral. I am working on TS 6.7.2 with Site Publisher.

I would definitely explore the idea of using SPAR / Archive Manager Tool. You may have to write some custom ant/perl scripts around SPAR to include items that are not handled by SPAR. I've seen it work pretty elegantly with exact same requirements as you have stated.

I tried to search around the same but you know the Iwov Manuals. Is there any technical article or help from where i can initiate?

Have you looked at the chapter on SPAR/Archive Manager in SP Dev guide? I think it is documented relatively well.
