Check whether a file is locked.

Hi,
Before performing an operation on the dcr, In my perl code, I need to check whether the dcr is locked or not? In case if it is, I need to abort.
I presume that this is possible using clts.
Can iwlockinfo be used for this purpose or is there any better way to find whether the dcr is locked?

I'd suggest that you better use CSSDK and write a JSP to do that. Interface CSFile has a ready to use method isLocked() that Checks whether this file is currently locked.

The requirement is using the CLTs. As we do not use preprocessors here which could check for locked dcrs.
Is it possible using CLTs, If yes, Please let me know how?

Use iwfilestate.exe then with -f script option. This will produce the output in a format easier to parse.

iwlockinfo should work, iwfilestate should also work - they produce different formats, so it's more a matter of which one you prefer to parse. iwfilestate's output (with -f script) is probably easier to parse.

iwattrib clt provides istagged attribute which helps in checking if the file/DCR is in locked state.

it returns the result as true or false.
