Stop User to interupt while Call Server is loading data

Hi,

I am using call server in my DCT and when user creates the form it loads quickly but fetching the values from database through a call server is still in progress. I don't want user to interrupt in between till the form gets loaded completely. Is there a way that we mark complete form read only until it is loaded completely.

Can anyone suggest some other approach.

You can do a onFormInit() which will allow the from to load first. Since callserver is asynchronous, you should call it at last.

Just display message as Form(DCT Name) Loading values. once form loads remove the message again.

Have you consider option of using inline instead of callserver? As inline gets called when form is initialized, will it not be better option over callserver?
We have used inline in multiple places in DCT to populate item values when form is initialized.
