I am calling an ipl which is reading data from the file. The data is getting stored in an hidden text field but while displaying the field it is not showing any data.

IWDatacapture.callServer is an asynchronous call that spawns dedicated Server thread.
So, in the code fragment you've provided "alert" is executed immediately after callServer, well before "try2"
process is done and probably before it started.

It is your (the Developer) responsibility to resynchronize Client/Server threads. Check documentation
