Custom page type using fixed layout class

I'm attempting to create a custom page type that uses fixed layout class. Here is what I have in pagetype-config.xml.

My issue is that it appears the fixed layout class is ignoring my layout id with 'fixed-layout-2', see screenshot below.

Any suggestions?

After decompiling FixedLayout.class, it appears the layout id of "fixed-layout" is hardcoded so its not picking up my layout id "fixed-layout2". What I'm trying to do is create a custom page type that uses the fixed-layout class (to reveal my available fixed layout templates) and use a custom stylesheet.

Any takers?
