How to set different permissions

Hi Folks,

I'm OK at setting permissions for all files/dirs using the <permissionRules> element in the <target> :

<permissionRules file="0664" directory="0775" group="fjordmakers" user="slarty"/>

But, as I see it, this sets ALL files to 664 and ALL dirs to 775, etc.

How would I specify DIFFERENT permissions for, say an individual file, or say for all *.cgi files? [and I wanted them to not remain the same as what they are in TS]

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Create two definitions - one that excludes CGI files and uses 664/775 and the other one that only includes CGI files and uses 775/775 - then you have to execDeploymentTasks.

As ghoti said you can use two different definitions if you know the file types.

Or else you can use dnrFile script execution if the different kind of files used and different kind of permissions needed.
Using the above one you can define runtime permission at target using some script will take input as some file(contains the permission,it should be deployed as part of OD)
