xsl presentation template issue

Hi,

DCR Name - 'xml_xslt'
TPL Name - 'xml_xslt.xsl'

I have updated my templating.cfg as attached.

I am facing problem where I generate output of DCR in .html format, it gives whole .xsl file as output. Do I need to do some other settings?

I have one more question is how to get DCR name/DCR Path/Loaded DCR inside .xsl file?

Some info about the usage of xslt in Teamsite

XSLT and Perl presentation compilers use different technology to generate output files, and they cannot be used for the same data type.

The XSLT presentation template compiler talks to CSSDK, which requires a vpath, while the Perl presentation template compiler directly accesses the file system.

Using CSSDK you can achieve all the features as perl TPL

What my understading is the way we use PT compiler, XSLTPTCompiler should work.
Ofcourse, functionality is altogether different. And so we provide information in templating.cfg.

Based on what you posted as far as DCR and XSLT code - it appears to work just fine - i.e.:[html] Hindi

[/html] Although that isn't really a legitimate HTML document (no body element, and it really should contain XML header and DOCTYPE specification) it does seem to produce the desired effect -- all this when running it outside of TeamSite.

Are you sure it isn't working for you? Can you post the resultant HTML code you're seeing? (remember to properly format it and use Preview Post to make sure)

This is test scenario which I have given here, so just plain html output we are getting.

Running outside of TeamSite it's working fine, as I need to mention xsl stylesheet name inside xml file.
But, while saving data record, how can I insert xsl stylesheet in data record xml file or get the DCR details in .xsl file?

What I understand is clicking on 'Generate' link on data record, it will generate .html output using .xsl presentation template. May be I need to look for xsl presentation approach.

You do not need to insert anything into the DCR's XML to get it to be processed with XSL - you need to simply specify that the XSL is to be used to process the DCR's XML.

That's what I did outside of TeamSite this morning, using an application that let's me specify an XSL, and XML, and an output file.

My guess is that you're doing something wrong, or that there's an error somewhere but you're chasing the wrong issue.

Thanks for your suggestion.

When I use xalan.jar with command line, I could generate desired output in .html format and it just works fine.

What I want is just click on 'Generate' link in DCR, and it should work and should show desired output.

After some finding, I could say that there was some mistake from my side as well.
I checked and found that our environment is TS6.7.1 and no service pack was installed.
I checked in formspub.jar also and found that there is no class called XSLTPTCompiler exists at desired location.

I hope once we install SP1, it should work.

Yeah - that's a big oops - the XSLT compiling wasn't added to 671 until SP1 -- let us know what happens after you get SP1 installed.
