TeamSite 7.2.1 silent install failed

I have configured TeamSite installer.properties and started off the install silent install on RHEL 5.4. It failed around 10 mins later with a warning of non existent db2 driver file. However, I had the driver file configured in the installer.properties with correct path. Any clue on the reason for this failure?

Good luck with that, you are getting further that I ever did with the silent install. Bag it and just use the standard X windows install

I had to go with console mode install, as our production sys admin said they won't allow GUI on linux due to n/w resource constraints. Trying to replicate the same on dev environment to avoid problems later.

in the error message, there seem to be 2 spaces between "InstallException:" and "/db2/...". Could it be that the path as seen by the installer, has a space in the front? Perhaps an error in your properties file (or an error in the installer)?

I have seen some issues with my DB install. Trying to resolve that before I try a reinstall again. The last time I tried, it failed during Report Center install section.

i have same requirement and i am working on TS 7.2..i need to use slent installer for Teamsite 7.2.. i have no idea on this silent installer tool..could you please provide me the tool and list fo the steps to implement that tool and execute on TS7.2 with RHEL 5.3?
please it is very urgent.

Hi Ravi,
If you are installing LS, ReportCenter and TeamSite, you would need to download and configure the IWOVReportCenter-7.2.1.silent_install.properties, IWOVLiveSite-7.2.1.silent_install.properties, IWOVTeamSite-Unix-7.2.1.silent_install.properties.
If it is only TeamSite, you can ignore the properties for LS and Report Center.
Each of the key-value combination relevant to your application need to be updated before kicking off the install.
As stated in the install docs,you will need to rename the silent install properties and put it in $iw-home/iwinstall/private/config path
Script provided as part of silent install had to be tweaked to make it run on RHEL. You may also run from the cmd line.

Btw. our failures were due to database config rqmt in the properties file. No matter if you plan to use only TS, you would still need to enter some value in LS and SitePub.
