Using iwmigrate to copy between content stores

Hi Folks,

I am using the iwmigrate command to (try and) copy one branch to a different content store. The command inidcated that it worked, yet the stuff didn't get copied.

Do I have to replicate the same branch structure in the new content store for it to work? [this I didn't do]

For completeness, the command I used was:

/Interwoven/TeamSite/bin/iwmigrate -x -x -x -m /iwmnt/default -b /default/main/insite/technical -o /iw-store/intranet -w -only gliddonl -t 5

Do you have any editions on the branch you're trying to migrate?
iwmigrate essentially "replays" submit events between editions (starting with INITIAL unless you tell it otherwise)

After running the command did you see anything in the target store? While migrating editions, iwmigrate creates a temporary workarea (temp_wa, I think) for file submissions.

Did the command give you any output/error? Usually it says " ... running event ... submitting ..." etc.

I have never tried copying workareas only (-only option), but have used iwmigrate sucessfully for migrating branch editions. You may try publishing an edition in the source branch and then migrating that over and then creating a workarea in your target branch - this should preserve file versions.
