How is TS Edit menu option 'Copy' different from iwcp.exe CLT ? Can somebody point out the difference?

Content Center UI does many things at the application level that the file system commands cannot handle. E.g. from file system perspective, the device drivers do not universally expose the source and destination of a copy, which is necessary in some of the internal algorithms, whereas this information is available within the Content Center application.

For example, with 7.2 and beyond, you will corrupt the dependencies between assets that the system uses for PLC attach dependencies and Find Related Files function if you use the file system copy commands. They use the source and destination to decide how to update the dependencies for consistency -- e.g. moving something from a non-master site to a master site.

We strongly recommend to use the content center copy command over file system operations. The class has like 100 lines of code of extra stuff going on at that layer in the application.
