Edit lock enable customization

We had the lock on edit feature enabled in TS6.5 but after upgrade to TS672 SP2, the iw.cfg rules were deprecated, so, I enabled them again in the application_custom.xml under customer_src_new and it worked fine on our dev box, now when I am trying the same on our prod box, the build runs successful with recognizing the changed application_custom.xml. Now the problem is the lock on edit feature is not working in TS GUI.

Did anybody faced this problem?
There is no error log statements anywhere.

Have you verified that both servers have the exact same version of TeamSite - including service packs and patches?

Yes Adam, both the servers have TS672 SP2 with build 70044 and there is no patch on it. I have opened a support case for this.

did you make changes in application_custom.xml under customer_src_new or under customer_src?

Can you verify the modified timestamp of this file about rebuild?
iw-home/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/conf/customer/application_custom.xml
it should be updated when you modify it and run make_toolkit.

I had made changes under customer_src_new

I expected the same thing like you, but the build ran successful and the timestamp remain unchanged.

Finally, Support gave a solution to update the file application.xml under /iw-home/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/conf/teamsite. This solution may be just for our environment/case, nobody should try to edit this file based on information in this thread unless otherwise recommended by Support.
