A question on Get-Latest

Hi,

I understand a "Get-Latest", will get the STAGING area files to your workarea.
My question here is:

Get-Latest changes the file pernissions in these work areas and it copies the STAGING area permissions itself. Maybe that should be the way it is designed to work.
But files in the STAGING areas of many of our branches still have very old users as their owners. So after every Get-latest now, the permissions are changed and the users are unable to edit those files in their work areas.

So is there a way we can change the permissions in STAGING area or keep the work area file permissions intact after every Get-Latest?

Create a new workarea, do a GetLatest, fix the permissions / ownership on all the files, then do a Submit with Overwrite (and unlock) enabled, and delete the temporary workarea.

From that point on, anyone who does a GetLatest should get the version that you fixed the permissions on.

Alternatively - and better - use iwidmap to map the user entries that no longer exist to user entries that do exist - deactivate and reactive the store and presto-changeo everything should work.
