dcr-type "iwov" vs. "xml"

I have had to point the dcr-type to "XML" in templating.cfg in order to enable formAPI, however when I try to save the DCR it wont save if the DCT has more than one item, it will only save properly if templating.cfg is pointing to dcr-type "iwov" but then I loose the formAPI.

As I posted on the other thread about getting formapi to work, this is a red herring. My FormAPI scripts run weather the dcr-type is xml, iwov or left off (which defaults to iwov.) There must be some other issue here.

BTW, the dcr-type attrib is *not* arbitrary, you can't just change it from one to the other. Read the templating dev guide about custom DTD data types.

Perhaps you could post your templating.cfg file? I'm getting real curious why your formapi code executes conditionally depending on templating.cfg changes.

What is your server version and OS? Any service packs?

This morning I ran the templates with dcr type as iwov (just like i tried before), they worked fine, so everything works, even though I did nothing new it just decided to work today. Thanks for your help.
