LSCS Query - return both content and metadata

Is it possible for LSCS to return a URL that has both the content and metadata for a piece of content on the same URL?

I know to get the content I can use the following format
http:///lscs/v1/document/path/to/file/

and to get the metadata I use
http:///lscs/v1/document/path/to/file/$*

I am just looking for the way to return both in one URL or is that just not possible?

do you really need a url?
If you need this for an external then you can use the lscsclient.getdocument(querystring), it returns content and metadata for a document.

Likewise, you could use

Document dcr = context.getLiveSiteDal().readXmlFile(s);

where s = a relative path string to the DCR
