Reading the values from text file to textarea in perl

Hi,
I need to provide the user with a cgi callout..I have gone through Form Publisher developer guide and in the example mentioned in the guide..The perl file reads the values in the flat file to a dropdown box
SELECT NAME="selection_list"
END
foreach my $hash (@options)
{
my $value = $hash->{'value'};
my $label = $hash->{'label'};
if ($label eq '')
{
$label = $value;
}
print "$label\n";
}
print <<"END";
SELECT
But I need to populate the values in a text area instead of a dropdown box..Can someone suggest me how to do that..
