Configuring workflow for a particular datatype

Hi,
TS 6.5, Solaris

We have 3 workflows configured (a,b and c) for all the users in a workarea. As a part of redesign, we have created customized CC-Std interface and a new datatype and thru that, they can use only the worklfow C.

We have configured tt_data in the available_templates so that, upon completion of DCR, they can invoke the workflow.

The problem is, after the user clicks next in the DCR, the system prompts the 3 workflows and the user has to choose C. This is a perfectly valid behavior.

Is there any way to configure such that, if the workflow is initiated from that particular datatype, then the system should always invoke workflow C only and should not prompt the list of workflows?

I can only configure branch_list. Is there a way to extend it for datatypes?

Yes, you need to configure this is available models using Manage worlkflow under Administrtaion Tab. This configration will invoke the "test workFlow b" for the weather/us datatype.

Example is attached in text file.

As i mentioned in my initial thread, this is TS 6.5 on solaris and there is no administration tab or modeler integrated within.

For your version of TeamSite - the answer is no.
tt_data will only respect branch-path specifications, not workarea nor folder specifications.

As a hunch, i tried till the datatype for the branch list tag. It does work properly. I didn't really expect that.

In the above example "APAC" is the branch name and "article" is the datatype.

Is this for the command "tt_data" or for the command "submit", the latter has tended to support full path information where as the former tended not to do so - and your original query was with regard to the former. If it actually worked for tt_data (in TS 6.5), I'm surprised - but happy for you.

Actually, "tt_data" and "submit" are independent Event triggers (finish/submit respectively), there is no "tt_data for Submit"

6.7.x is a different version than 6.5 - yes? The DTD for available_templates.cfg changes in 6.7.x with the introduction of WFM and it's available_models.xml config file (actually the available_templates.cfg accepts both old and new syntax - but only the new syntax provides options that would allow you to possibly go to the folder level with tt_data).

Hence I qualified my response with regard to the version that was indicated in the original post.

As Boris has already pointed out - tt_data and submit are two distinct actions. tt_data comes into play when you click the Finish button at the bottom of the Edit DCR window. So are you saying that with the above config, if you click on the Finish button of a DCR in /default/main/APAC/.*/article/ - that this workflow shows up as available, and that if you click on the Finish button for a DCR in the same branch that isn't an 'article' - that the workflow does not show up?

Or are you assuming this works because you navigated to the directory where the DCR was, selected it, and then clicked the Submit button and it did what you wanted it to?
