CGI tasks using Java

I need some direction on how to do CGI task using Java. I already saw a post with the same question but no one answered. So I thought I would start a new thread on the same

I've done this successfully. I wrote a servlet and put the source into /customer_src/src as indicated by ghoti. You need to run make_toolkit.pl . If everything is done correctly you should be able to call it as http://iwhost/iw-cc/servletname also as indicated by ghoti.

What the servlet returns is up to you. I've returned JSON any Javascript without and issues.

Make sure you update custom_src/etc/web.xml before running make_toolkit so that the servlet will be accessible.

Servlet is a totally different world than CGI, so to speak.
OP mentioned CGI, I guess he/she really means Java Servlet?
