Teamsite crash

The problem is that Teamsite hangs whenever the user has both XML Spy and Teamsite running concurrently. When the user edits xml file in Teamsite using XML Spy or XML Marker, the Teamsite server crashes. Again to reiterate, the problem is not with XML Spy or XML Marker, etc. The issue is that the machine crashes when Teamsite is running with either XML Spy or XML Marker at the same time. Sometimes it crashes when the user tries to upload a file from local machine also.

XML Spy and XML Marker are XML editors.

Teamsite version 6.7.2 SP2 windows platform.

The user’s environment is Windows XP---SP3
Browsers IE 7.

Suggestions and workaround are highly appreciated.

To zero it down: Is it happening only for one user or multiple users?

As of now only one user has raised this issue. Sometimes i used 2 get this issue when trying to upload files from local desktop. It hangs or makes the UI down.

It is very likely that the XML / TeamSite issue is user specific (machine). Try to replicate the same on different machines.

For TS hang issue, What java version is installed on your machine and also, is it happening with other users as well?

Regarding your 1st question we tried in another machine its working fine. So as of now only that particular user is facing this issue.

Regarding java i m using 1.6.0_22. It happens very rarely for me when i try to upload a file. Its normal html file and size is also small.

I have not used 1.6*+TS so far. Not in position to comment on performance for file upload in TS with 1.6*. It works for me with 1.5* version.
