I am running iwreset after this change.

Am I required to stop and start TeamSite after this iwreset ?

It depends on what the change was.
You might have to run iwreset, iwreset -ui, iwreset -a, stop/start iwproxy, stop/start iwutild, or do nothing at all.

I have added following line in iwproxy_preconnect_remap

Do I need to use iwreset -a and restart TS service after that ?

Another question is, if I am redirecting one workarea, to a different workarea in different branch. eg, I want default/main/web-sites/china/WORKAREA/ALL/web-resources/components/xsl/(.*) to be redirected to one in admin branch. Does it mean that, I need to have that branch /ALL/web-resources/components/xsl/(.*) in branch main ?
what if I want all logos to be in admin branch ie this folder will not be in any other branch and whenever it is to be included in a form, we have to browse to that branch and fetch this logo. Then how will I remap it to destination brancj admin without logos folder existing in source ?
ie if this workarea does not exist in branch where I am working, how will it be redirected ? We require, a source regex, which specifies which workarea in a brach is being remapped and dest_regex, which specifies what workarea request is going to. If I dont have logos folder in a branch, how will I remap it to different distination ?

I guess I am unable to put my confusion in clear words. But this is best I can put at this time.

Iwreset -a will restart the proxy which is what you need

Note somewhere between 6.5 and 7.2.1 Iwov added a new optional parameter to iwreset. By default between the "stop" and "start" there is a two minute delay. I assume that's there so you can rename logs or what ever you might want to do while the server is down.

The iwreset command now has an optional number of minutes to wait between shutting down and restarting. So if you don't want to wait around for two minutes you can do iwreset -a 0 to make things go faster.

True - but restarting just the iwproxy service will be quicker / less disruptive and accomplish the same thing with regard to that specific change in the iw.cfg file.

I think that delay was more jboss related, giving time for all processes the chance to shut down completely

Yes Adam. You are correct that proxy restart is faster but think who will run this and which is easier?

Based on what you [should have] read - what do you think the answer is? Why do you think that is the answer?

I.e.: You should be able to answer that question for yourself - and you should be able to test and verify it for yourself without a significant amount of effort.
