TO DO list Operation="NA"

When I execute a workflow, the task shows up in the correct user's 'TO DO' list, but the operation field has a value of NA. I saw a forum posting indicating this might be related to missing domains on usernames (i.e. user1 instead of DOMAIN\user1), but I have verified my use of DOMAINs. Op/sys=Windows 2000. TeamSite version=5.5.2

What type of task is it that you are seeing this bahavior with? Usertask? Externaltask?

The first task in the workflow is a usertask. I have the same problem with the default/author_assignment.wft workflow which ships with TeamSite.

"NA" means "Not Allowed". THis usually means the current user is not allowed to execute task operations for the given task. This is true if the current (logged on) user is not a master nor the owner of the task or job.

Is this a Windows server? If so, make sure your user IDs in the roles files are in DOMAIN\username format. The symptom you're looking at is classic for this syndrome.

All is well. Thanks so much for pointing me in the DOMAIN direction. The problem was not in the roles file, but with the userid I entered to login to TeamSite. I neglected to enter the DOMAIN here.
