I have a DCT in which there is a dropdown box.I need to populate the drop-down list with values coming from another DCR. Can anybody suggest a solution?

Use a inline script,
in the script read the contents from the other dcr and create options.

I cant figure out where it is. can you plz help me? and are you talking about cgi-callout which fetches data from a flat file to populate the dropdown item?

Start simple. Take the example from the documention, get it working using the txt file, then change it up so that it goes after a DCR. Check out this page for a little bit of code that will show you how to access another DCR.
