Adding textbox to WF tab by customizing UI

Hi Folks,

This question is with respect to customizing the UI for the 'Jobs' view of the 'Workflow' tab in ContentCenterPro 6.7.1 SP1.

In the bottom pane is an editable textbox that has the heading of 'Job Description'. The current functionality is that if you edit the Job description comment in this box, then select 'Save', then the appropriate field in the active workflow will be updated.

I am not sure this is possible, but I have had a request to add an extra "comment" textbox just below this 'Job description' textbox to allow the user to enter a custom comment (lets call it 'Web notes'), which will then populate a configurable variable in the WF.

Do you think this is even possible, and if so, how would you approach it?

Not in any supported manner. You can perhaps find and hack corresponding JSPs, modify the Form they render
and store the additional data in (for example) some predefined Job Variables.

That said, if I were you I'd either drop the idea altogether or use OOTB Description. If you want multi-part
Description you can come up with some simple formatting, delimiters, parenthesis and the like. Tasks then
will be able to parse the value.
